About Walking Through Time with the Jackman Family
Please sign in to see more. Possessing a keen interest in history and the many individuals who helped shape our future, my curiosity about my families past became not just a hobby, but a quest for knowledge about the past and how they lived. I began my genealogical research with my mother's maiden name of Jackman, whose family originated in the county of Wiltshire, England. Later, I added my father's line of Bellefeuille who originated in Quebec and Ontario Canada. With every new name and piece of information found, my family ancestry has taken shape, and gradually has evolved into an ancestral home for the Jackman and Bellefeuille families and their kin. Through my research, what has become abundantly clear is that these individuals survived incredible odds. They faced their lives with courage and determination, and took risks that left behind them an intriguing legacy for the generations that followed.

No matter how far into the future we look, or how content we may be in the present, we must at some point look back and visit our ancestral past, in order that we may understand our lives and all things that happen within it.
In Loving Memory of
Joan Winifred Jackman
1919-2010
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
